This route is ideal for newbies consisting mainly of district road riding.

This route cuts out the adrenaline pumping sections of the 35km route to give you the same views and riding experience through a nature reserve.

If you have ridden the 35km MTB route before and wondered what it would be like in reverse, now is your chance to find out...and its GREAT! This route is not one for the faint of heart; the ride back from Everdon Estate and the look-out across to the valley to Albert Falls, takes you along the valley escarpment of Dwarfs Dawdle before dropping you onto Black Eagle Trail.

One of South Africa's oldest cycling events, the Howick Highlander is the annual fundraiser for 1st Howick Scouts, with mountain-bike and trail-run routes for the whole family to enjoy.
Bring the whole family and join us for a day filled of fun, sun and special moments.
The Howick Highlander provides the financial resources for children, from the age 7 to 18, to participate in programmes and adventures that are designed to develop skills that build character, and provide opportunities to develop self-reliance and self-confidence.
