General Information

Taking part in this endurance training ride within the uBhejaneX series requires each participant to provide his/her own nutrition and hydration. The cyclists will ride together as a group during the ride. 

In preparation for the 16 hour non-stop uBhejaneX Extreme event on 18 November 2023, this will be the last ride.

There will be several stops along the route where participants can fill up on water and other drinks. The ride starts at Waxys on the corner of Old Main Road and Nquto Road. We average between 17 and 20km ph, depending on the group. We will travel throughthe Inanda Valley, Nagle Dam, and exit the valley near Table Mountain (the climb out of the valley is 3.5km and 375m elevation). We will head towards Karkloof viaa Albert Falls Dam.

As the rides end at the Karkloof Country Club, those who did not have enough, can continue riding through Karkloof and toward Lions River on the Currys Post Road where the ride will end at one of the restaurants in the area (TBC).

This is not an easy ride, so do not underestimate it. There will only be one group and the pace is 16km ph. The  total ascent is over 3500m. Total riding time is between 8-9 hours.
