  • 40km MTB

    A scenic and challenging mountain bike ride through the beautiful Karkloof forests! 

     

  • DirtBuster (Team)

    Consists of a 10km ride and a 2.5km run through the forest. This is a team event of 2, so both team member's ROAG numbers are needed in to enter.

  • DirtBuster (Individual)

    Consists of a 10km ride and a 2.5km run. You'll be up against other individuals, so this is your opportunity to get a 'personal best!'

  • DustMites Race 1: Pine Tree Trail

    If you are up for more of a moderate challenge, we recommend that you join in the fun on the Pine Tree Trail.  This entails a 500m run & 2,8km cycle.  The recommended age for this category is 7 years and older, however, if you are younger and can manage this trail then you are welcome to join the crowd.  The trail will be through the glorious forest at the Karkloof Club, so have fun and take in the scenery!

  • DustMites Race 2: Forest Adventure

    A fun and relaxed event which entails a 200m run and a 1.2km cycle through a lovely shaded pine forest. This exciting adventure is recommended for children under the age of 6 and smaller kids should have an adult accompany them.

    So come and join this group of kids who want to have fun and but still take it easy.

Other Information About Event

  • Food & Beverages

    Dave Dixon Catering will be available on Saturday evening and Sunday on a pre-order basis. 

    Meals will be served at the club house. Saturday at 18h00 and Sunday from 06h30. 

    Orders must be placed no later than Wednesday 11th March at 16h00.

    Alternatively, a designated braai area will be available at the Karkloof Country Club House.

    NO braais are allowed at the camp/glamp sites on the Polo fields!

    NO alcohol is allowed at the camp/glamp sites. The club has a fully licensed bar available.

    Additional food and refreshments will be on sale from 06h30 on Sunday.

  • Prizes & Results

    Prizes and prize money will be awarded.

  • Race Giveaways

    The first 450 Dustbuster and 450 Dustmites pre-entries will receive a free T-shirt at registration.

  • Medals

    Medals will be given to the Dustmites participants.

  • Accommodation

    Camping will be available on Saturday 14 March. Please contact Cordwalles for more information.

    This can be purchased during the entering process.

    Camping: R100/Adult and R50/Child.

    Glamping: R700/Family Tent (max 5 people) and R450/Couple Tent (max 2 people).

    Costs includes your vehicle entry fee.

     

  • General Information

    WHAT TO BRING:

    Glampers: Own bedding (mattresses provided)
    Head torch

    No allocated campsites, based on a first come, first serve basis.

    Sparkling shower and toilet facilities available.

    Please be courteous and considerate to your neighbours, fellow campers and glampers.

    Please collect your wristband from outside Ruth’s office on THURSDAY 12 MARCH AND FRIDAY 13 MARCH. You will need this band to collect your pre-ordered meals and camp/glamping tickets.

     

    RULES FOR CAMPING/GLAMPING:

    In keeping with the conservation ethos of Karkloof Country Club and the family orientated atmosphere of the Camp / Glamp over, 
    please note the following rules:
    1. No fireworks, loud music or riding of four wheelers and motor bikes will be permitted.
    2. No noise after 10pm.
    3. No obscene and abusive language will be tolerated. 
    4. By paying and collecting your camping / glamping wristband. You agree that all members of your camp will abide by the above rules.
    Failure to abide by the rules may result in a fine of up R5 000 being imposed and the offender not being permitted to attend the camp over
    in the future.
    5. Right of admission reserved. 

     

  • General Information

    PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ROAG MTB BOARDS AND TRAIL BIBS WILL BE USED FOR THIS EVENT. PLEASE BRING YOURS ALONG. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE, YOU WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE IT AT REGISTRATION. MTB BOARDS R50 AND TRAIL BIBS R20.

DUSTBUSTER SERIES - EVENT STRUCTURE AND RULES

There will be a 5km and a 9km Trail run as well as 10km, 20km and 40km MTB race options.

RACE INFORMATION AND RULES:

 

1. Participants may compete as two-man teams or individuals.

2. Helmet and own bike are compulsory for the ride.

3. Crop tops / T-shirts are compulsory for the run.

4. Minimum age for individual full distance is 12 years unless accompanied by parent.

5. Organisers reserve the right to not award prizes in a category if there are fewer than 5 entries in that category. Participants entering this category will be placed one age group higher until there are sufficient entries (minimum 5 in a category).

6. The idea of the event is to have fun - cheating is not permitted and will result in disqualification.

7. If you leave the course at any point you must re-join the course where you left or else you are considered to have taken a short cut.

8. Please put your helmet on before you remove your bike from the transition.

9. All cyclists must wear a fastened helmet

10. No cycling in the transition area.

11. Athletes need to be marked according to race requirements

12. Athletes must obey marshals and race officials

13. No spectators are permitted into the transition area.

14. The Dustbuster Series has a NO REFUND policy in the event of a race/s being cancelled in part or in whole for whatever reason

 

Dustmites

1. An event for children in various age groups ranging from pre-school to under-12.

2. Helmets are to be worn for the entire event.

3. These younger competitors can also participate in the Dustbuster events - accompanied all the way by a parent, but not assisted.

4. Dustmites is specifically for children. The Dustmites event, comprises a short, cycle, obstacle course and a run.

5. No prizes are given for the Dustmites events.
