Age group categories for prizes
According to the Cycling South Africa rules, the following will be applied when determining prizes for the various age groups and results in the Quattro ROAG Series powered by Momentum.
According to the Cycling South Africa the minimum number of riders to make up an age group is 5 riders. If less than that, riders will move category step-by-step as below, until the minimum is reached (for example, if one grand master moves to join two masters so there are still less than five riders, the three (2xM plus 1xGM) will all move to veterans):
If too few riders, riders will move (in the following order):
Nipper => Sprog
Sprog => Sub Junior
Sub Junior => no move possible
Youth => Junior
Junior => no move possible
Grand Master => Master
Master => Veteran
Veteran => Sub Vet
Sub Vet => Senior
Senior => no move possible
Prizes for combined groups:
Prizes will be allocated across the combined group.
Prize allocation
If after the moves, there are only three riders in a category, then only 1st & 2nd will be awarded prizes in that category.
Prizes for both male and female classes will be handed out to overall 1st to 3rd in all events and age category prizes will be as follows:
40km MTB: Youth to Grand Masters
20km MTB: Nippers to Sub Juniors
ROAG Series points in your actual age group
Where riders are required to ride in a different age group due to insufficient numbers, they will still earn log points for their position in the age group they normally enter. So points will be allocated in their actual age group. This will reward commitment and consistency, but not penalize riders who have to race in incorrect age groups due to low numbers.

Food and beverages can be purchased on the hotel property.
