Ride the Midlands is a three-day MTB experience that takes mountain biking to the next level. The package includes brilliant riding, exclusive and luxurious accommodation, gourmet dining, craft beer and gin.
This event is perfect for non-riding partners, with a list of activities in the Midlands to enjoy while riders are out experiencing the trails.
Ride the Midlands is limited to just 60 people, so book quickly and let your friends know, so you don’t miss out on this inaugural event. The ride is not timed, becuase it is all about enjoyment, both on the bike and off it. E-bikes are welcome.

PROLOGUE (+-25km): Friday 18th August
After registration, a light lunch and check in, we will be doing an out-and-back leg warmer from Providence Country Estate.
No water points but there will be a back-up vehicle on route.
DAY 1 (+-50km): Saturday 19th August
This will be the longest day of the weekend. After breakfast riders will gather on the front lawn to set off on a route taking in forest, jeep and single tracks, as well as some dirt roads in and around the Howick and Karkloof trails.
Two water points along the route, including a scenic stop at the Karkloof Falls.
The ride finishes at the Karkloof Club where snacks and drinks will be served.
Riders are welcome to shower at the club before being bussed back to Providence for a spectacular buffet lunch.
DAY 2 (+-30km): Sunday 20th August
A slightly later start before an out-and-back route heading across a number of farms, with one water point on the route.

Non-riding partners and companions are most welcome to be part of the fun. A number of non-rider activities are planned while the riders are out on the trails doing their thing.

VENUE
The race venue will be at Providence Country Estate in Nottingham Road, KwaZulu-Natal, where all participants and non-riders will be accommodated in luxurious rooms. All meals and pre- and post-activities will be based at Providence where all entrants can explore their sprawling grounds and farm.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is offered on a sharing basis (single or double beds) for the Friday and Saturday nights. Just like a hotel, all rooms will be serviced daily and come with linen, towels and have their own toilets, showers, plug points and wi-fi. There is an added option to book either the Thursday and/or the Sunday night (see Optional Extras on Enter page).
MEALS AND BEVERAGES
The entry includes all meals and beverages during the event.

Sunday: Full breakfast and a Harvest Table lunch before heading home
