Description of the Course
Triathlon
=> 1.5 km de natation dans le lagon paradisiaque du Morne (ou 8 km de course à pied pour les duathlètes).
=> Départ vélo depuis le Morne, direction Chamarel.
Montée de Chamarel.
Descente Fantaisy jusqu'à Baie du Cap.
Baie du Cap, virage à gauche direction le Sud, vers Chamouny.
Montée de Bassin Blanc.
Au rond-point, virage à gauche jusqu'à l'antenne Parakeet.
=> Départ trail depuis l'antenne Parakeet.
Descente Parakeet jusqu'au parking des Gorges de Rivière Noire.
Demi-tour direction le Radier.
Virage à droite direction Parakeet.

Race Information
Distribution des dossards : apportez votre matériel et vous le placerez dans des sacs de transition qui seront mis à votre disposition (voir reglement)
Le matin de la course, on vous attend au Morne avec vos affaires de natation et de vélo (sac de transition 1)
Course en autonomie: ravitaillements sur les transitions uniquement! Prévoyez de quoi boire et manger suffisamment!
Si vous souhaitez avoir vos propres boissons sur le parking des Gorges, vous pouvez les laisser à l'organisation au moment du marquage, le matin de la course.

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT EVENT
History and meaning of Casseconfi
In 2020 while the world was under confinement our small group of Triathlon friends in Mauritius kept on training with the view to participate to one of the toughest mountain triathlons in the world, the 0-3000 Triathlon in Reunion which includes 3000 metres climb on bike and trail to the ceiling of the Indian Ocean. Unfortunately while the confinement rules in Mauritius were gradually relaxing, there were no signs that we would be allowed to fly to Reunion.
This is when we imagined to design a race 2100 meters climbing that would include the toughest road bike climbs of Mauritius i.e Chamarel and Bassin Blanc coupled with the toughest trail climb of Parakeet.
Casseconfi means Breaking the Confinement. On July 25th 2020 Casseconfi Triathlon was the first Sports event to be organised in Mauritius after the first confinement.
In 2021, the Casseconfi bike track unfortunately had to be modified as Chamarel road was under repair and included the coastal road at Macondé and a climb up and down of Fantaisie.
