EVENT INFORMATION:

The Nando’s Royal Life saving Society Open Water Swim 2018 is one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year. The Kiddies Fun Swim will be the opener swim of the day, then it’s time to support the swimmers lining up for the 1.6km swim & 3.8km Open Water Swim. For those not swimming this year, we invite you to join in the festive supporting. A bustling kiddies corner will ensure the day is fun for the family.

Staged in Pereybere, Mauritius, this quiet beachside town in the North of the Island is home to the Nando's Royal Life Saving Society Open Water Swim.

2018 sees the 43rd edition of the 3.8km open water swim in Pereybere. This is the 8th year that Nando's, Coke & MTPA are raising funds for Royal Life Saving Society of Mauritius & Beachcomber have joined the event as co-sponsor from 2017. 496 swimmers participated in 2017, from all parts of the Island and Internationally. This event is a favourite among swimmers and leisure sports enthusiasts.

Not only do we want YOU to do well, we believe in the bigger community. With a target of 700 swimmers, all proceeds generated will be going directly to the RLSS to continue their work and training of Lifesavers to keep our families safe in the water. This combination of sport & giving back to our community is sure to add to the existing spirit of fellow swimmers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- Compulsory to wear the Swim caps provided when participating in 1.6km & 3.8km Swim

- Timekeepers will record finishers and times for each swimmer and team.

- All entries and payments should be done online to be eligible to receive the prize money.

- Swimming Pack to the first 500

- Parking is free but limited in the surrounding streets. Please allow ample time to find a spot, as it can get crowded.

Beachcomber has sponsored a fantastic luck draw prize. Each participant will have their cap number entered into the draw and stands the chance to win a 2 nights stay at the Trou-aux-Biches Beachcomber for 2 adults on half-board. Draw takes place before the start of the 1.6km Race.

08:15	Kiddies Fun Swim 50m / 3-5year olds More details: Our dedicated team of RLSS and Event Crew will be there to support you and your child during this wonderful family experience. 1 Adult parent per 1 Child to do the swim. No Entry Fee or pre registration. Sign up on the day with SWIM TIME team before 07:50. Parent and Child must know how to swim. Cheer and encourage our young swimmers in two small fun swims. In the lagoon, surrounded by the trained RLSS and Event crew, we will support you and your children to Experience the joy of sport and community.
09:00	1.6km Swim – Pereybere Lagoon Route More details: Start at Pereybere Beach, Swim around the route demarcated by the Nando’s buoys to reach the finish line. An achievement to be proud of. Swim Caps provided are compulsory.
10:00	3.8km Swim – Pereybere Open Water Swim More details: Start at Pereybere Beach, Swim the route demarcated by the Nando’s buoys to reach the finish line at Pereybere. An achievement to be proud of. Swim Caps provided are compulsory.

SWIMMING PACK:

Swimming packs to the first 500 entrants (one per participant) containing a T-Shirt, Swimming Cap and Nando's Voucher.

KIDS ENTERTAINMENT:

Kids entertainment in the form of a Jumping Castle will be at the venue.

FOOD & BEVERAGES:

Coke and a biscuit will be provided on exit.
