Standard Bank Royal Raid 2020 | Running for a good cause!
For every participant crossing the finish line on 9 May 2020, Standard Bank Mauritius will contribute Rs200 per finisher in a pool which will be donated to two NGOs namely Society for Aid to Children Inoperable in Mauritius (SACIM) and Link to Life.
Society for Aid to Children Inoperable in Mauritius (SACIM)
SACIM is an NGO specialised in the care of inoperable children from low-income families in Mauritius. Those children suffer from illness that requires surgical intervention abroad and the families cannot afford this high cost. With the Bank’s support, those children will have the necessary treatment overseas and aspire to a brighter future.
Link to Life is a non-profit making organisation which has been set up since 2002 by a small group of volunteers who were themselves cancer survivors. The main purpose of Link to Life is to provide support and counselling to cancer patients and their families.
The NGO’s main mission is:
- To provide information, counselling, support and care to anyone (irrespective of sex, ethnicity or religious belief).
- To promote understanding of the public in general, about the causes, prevention and importance of early detection together with the progress made in the treatment of cancer in Mauritius and overseas.

Due to the lack of activities, participants may have difficulties to restart their trainings and we have therefore decided to reduce the kilometres of some races for safety purposes
