Description of the Course
The trail is made up of a 3.5km route for the Nippers and Sprogs and 5.3km route for all other categories. The trail winds its way around and across the Amanzimtoti River and surrounding forest area and is made up of single track linked by numerous bridges, switchbacks, drop offs and wooden berms. The trails have their technical sections as well as a number of fairly quick sections with plenty of place to overtake.
There are plenty of spectator points from which spectators can watch the action.
The Track has been built by the Amanzimtoti Cycle Club which has built up an enviable reputation over the past 16 years for presenting Cycle Races that are both safe and enjoyable for the participants. -
General Information
FACILITIES:
1. Catering on site: A selection of refreshments and meals will be available from the rugby club on site.
2. Toilets & showers: available on site.
3. Medical: EMS will only be on site on Sunday (race day).
4. Venue costs: there will be no charge for riders using Hutchinson Park on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd Feb but a fee of R20pp may be charged on days outside of these dates.ENTRIES:

Toti kicks off the KZN MTB XCO Lap Challenge Series
Amanzimtoti Cycle Club will host the opening round of KZN Mountain Biking's XCO Lap Challenge Series. Hutchinson Park offers an ideal venue, close to the beach and with a well-established course and a venue with great facilities.
SUNDAY 23 FEBRUARY
Registration & Late Entries:
07h00 to 13h00 (registration will close 30 minutes before each batch start).
Batch Starts & Race Times (laps to be confirmed at registration)
09:00 Nippers & Sprogs - 1hr
10:00 C Batch - 1hr
11:00 B Batch - 1.5hrs
12:30 A Batch - 1.5hrs
ROUTE MAP:
DIRECTIONS to Hutchinson Park:
Travel south on the N2 and take the exit 138 Adams Road turn off.
At the stop street turn right.
At the next traffic lights turn right and go over N2.
At the next traffic lights turn left on to Isundu Drive.
Follow this road over the Amanzimtoti River passed the Rugby club on the right until the Tee junction then turn right onto Riverside Road.
Travel about 250 meters and then turn right into Amanzimtoti Sports centre, bowling club on your right.
Travel along this cement paved road about 100 meters and turn right into car park our club house over looks rugby field.
