This course has been specifically designed for children from the age of 8 and adult
beginners. It provides a perfect and fun introduction to trail running.
This is a great opportunity for younger runners to get in close contact with lush nature. In
addition to performing a physical activity that is good for their well-being, they will surely
have fun running through sugarcane fields.
This family adventure is ideal for intergenerational bonding.
This new route introduced in 2019 has been designed for intermediate level runners. It is
ideal for athletes from the age of 12 who want to burn off some energy in a spectacular
setting with plains, forests and mountains.
This year, only 350 participants will be allowed to enter Deux Mamelles, with a variety of
surfaces, climbs and descents that will add a touch of spice to the race, which offers a
succession of spectacular landscapes!
Runners will start from the race village at La Laura before following a trail through lush
green sugarcane fields, which takes them to the foothills of Deux Mamelles Mountain. The
race ends with participants running through the heart of a lush forest. An incredible
adventure!
This race’s main characteristic is that it takes participants through a spectacular pass between two of the most iconic mountains on the island, Le Pouce and Pieter Both.
Runners will steer through hilly paths leading to Deux Mamelles Mountain, and then the famous Malenga stairs. The final section includes a downhill run across sprawling sugarcane fields towards the finish line in La Laura for a well-deserved rest.
A racing experience that combines a technical terrain with inspiring beauty.
The event’s longest and most technical race will test the motivation and endurance of
participants. Despite the challenge, over 100 seasoned runners signed up for Le Grand
Pouce last year.
Runners will be challenged to take on the rough trails of La Laura and foothills of Le Pouce
Mountain before descending steeply on rocky terrain. They must then climb the winding
Malenga stairs and run across sugarcane fields to reach the finish line at La Laura.
This is certainly not an easy run, but the spectacle offered by nature is worth the effort.

The Moka Trail is back with a unique 8th edition!
Calling all thrill-seekers, outdoor enthusiasts and lovers of breathtaking scenery: the Moka Trail will be back on 3 October 2020 with a “light” 8th edition!
The Moka Trail organising team wanted to go through with and give everyone the opportunity to compete in this symbolic event of Moka Smart City despite the current challenging situation. To that end, a lighter edition has been designed as a way to reconnect with authenticity, the primary value of trail running. This activity originally emerged from the motivation of runners to enjoy their sport in an unspoilt natural setting in order to bask in the beauty of the landscapes and learn how to get around with little or no assistance in a demanding environment for both body and mind. It promotes human relationships based on simplicity, friendliness, sharing and respect for differences.
The team has also made the most of health standards enforced in the country to offer you a completely safe event. This lighter edition will feature the launch of new marked trails that are kept clean year-round.
This year, participants will have four routes to choose from: Fun Jog (5km), Deux Mamelles (7km), Le Petit Both (14km) and the Moka Range Challenge (28km).
