LATE ENTRIES AT REGISTRATION
Pre-entries for the Illovo Wartburg Classic MTB & Trail Run are closed, but riders and runners can still take part via a late entries at registration on Saturday morning at Wartburg Kirchdorf School.
However, i you are planning on a late entry on Saturday, please make sure you have registered your profile on the ROAG website (https://roag.org/) and have your ROAG number handy so the entry process is super-quick and easy.
For safety reasons, all entrants have to be registered so the organisers know your details in case of an emergency.
Pre-entrants will be getting their final race instructions and batch information via email on Friday morning, but the following are the details you need to be aware of if you are taking part.
Dear Illovo Wartburg Classic entrant
Illovo, the Wartburg Kirchdorf School and ROAG look forward to welcoming you and hosting you on Saturday.
This event is the eighth and penultimate leg of the 2022 / 2023 Quattro ROAG Series with the 25km and 60km MTB races and the 7km and 14km trail running events counting towards points in the series for the relevant age categories. Please note the 45km does not count towards points for the series this year. The 60km has been measured at just under 60km so juniors and youth riders will be awarded points according to the 60km event. Should any youth or junior rider wish to change their entry, please go to Race Office at registration and you will be able to pay for the difference and upgrade your entry.
This is also the opening leg of the 2023 Quattro ROAG KZN Marathon Series and final details of the new series will be released shortly.
REGISTRATION:
Registration will take place from 05h00 to 08h00 and will take place in the indoor centre at the Wartburg Kirchdorf School. Please ensure that you come through registration AT LEAST 60 minutes prior to the start of your race in order to avoid any last minute rushes. Loadshedding is scheduled for the entire registration time so riders and runners are asked to arrive early to ensure any delays do not cause you to be late for your start.
MEDICAL INFORMATION:
All entrants are asked to update their personal information on the ROAG.org website prior to the event. Should there be an emergency, the first point of access for the first responders is your medical and emergency information in your ROAG profile. Please ensure at the very least your medical information and your emergency contact information is up to date and accurate. You can update your information by using your ROAG number and ID number to log into your profile, and then make the changes under My Profile and My Info. Please ensure you Save Changes after updating.
TIMING:
All events 7km or longer will be timed with prizes being awarded in the age categories for the correct relevant distances. This event will be timed by Elite Timing.
