Wed 28 June | Intermediate | Giba Gorge
INTERMEDIATE 6 - 10 YEARS OLD
Your young shredder is pretty competant on a bike and can ride on trails with confidence doing around 5 - 10kms.
We will start on the bmx track getting some flow over the humps and learning how to pump correctly.
Then heading off onto the trails, with a break and a snack, before heading onto the single track for some more fun.

Thur 29 June | Advanced | Giba Gorge
ADVANCED 6 - 10 YEARS OLD
This is for the advanced young rider. They are confident, already doing single track with ease. Now they would like to get those wheels in the air, ride some steeper trails, hop over obstacles.
We will start with some drills to teach the correct technique to advance their riding to the next level.
After a quick break we will head out onto the trails to find some cool obstacles.
They need to be able to ride at least 10kms with ease as we need to get out onto the trails to find the cool stuff!
VERY IMPORTANT! Please make sure your child's bike is in good working order. Please check that brakes, gears and forks are working correctly.

MOREWOOD PARK
Morewood is a membership driven activity centre on a 30ha Farm in central Hillcrest with Mountain-biking, Trail-running, walking, hiking, birding and a kids play area. We are also home to The Potter Shed Bistro and Deli, Old Balgowan Winery Brewery and distillery, Moreish Bakery and Petro Chilli sauces. We allow dogs on leashes on Sundays from 15h00 and Monday all day. For members we have gourmet picnics, braai facilities and allow fishing.

Sign them up for some super rad skills and rides this holiday.
This clinic is designed for young shredders with good bike skills and confidence. We will be teaching them how to get smoother on single track as well as berms and tight corners.
These sessions will be provided by experienced and certified skills instructors. They know how to get the best out of your kids and give them real challenges without compromising safety. They’ll give them a pocket full of skills to take-home for keeps and a certificate of completion.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
CORE TECHNIQUES
We’ll assess their ability to ensure they’re in an appropriate group. We’ll then get them riding and teach core techniques to develop their mountain biking and maintain riding safety at all times
TECHNICAL SKILLS
We move on to turn those core techniques into skills. Building on core techniques the kids can progress to riding more trail and getting wheels off the ground. Moving onto getting good grip in corners and tackling technical obstacles on the trail.
