EVENT POSTPONED TO 21 APRIL 2024!

We’re excited to be bringing downhill back to the Karkloof but, this time around we aren’t using the old downhill track in Demagtenburg that you may recall. Instead we are going to be racing down parts of an existing enduro track linked together by some exciting newly built downhill track. 

Hosted by the Karkloof Club, the track starts from the Howick fire tower and will go along parts of Kathryn’s, Crank Alley, Haibo and Rush A lot where you will also find sections of freshly built trail before crossing the finish line near Melle’s dam. You can expect a variety of exciting features from rock gardens & gap jumps to off-cambers, bridge crossings and loamy turns. We are looking forward to seeing you out on the track!

Please remember that the track is on private SAPPI land and you require a permit to ride the track, only on official practice and race day will you not have to have a permit as these are part of the entry. Permits to ride the track can be bought from The Karkloof Country Club. 

PRIVATE VEHICLES are NOT PERMITTED on SAPPI land, please do not transgress or you will be disqualified from the event. 

There will be shuttle days leading up to the event which you will be able to purchase lift passes for (more info to come).
