INFORMATION ABOUT EVENT
One of Mauritius's oldest and most popular trail events, CIEL FERNEY Trail welcomes more than 4,500 participants each year through the forests and valley of Ferney in the south-east of the island.
Whether you are joining for the first time or coming back for another year, take a look at the race details below and mark your calendar.

35km
To take part to the 35 km race, participants must be at least 18 years old. This race forms part of the League Trail ‘long’ of “Association Rando Trail et Nature”. Participants of the 35km race must attach a medical certificate to confirm that they are physically fit to run the trail. Please note that the medical certificate is compulsory to complete the registration. The event is designed for experienced persons, having a good physical condition.

For the 18km race, participants must be at least 16 years old. This race forms part of the League Trail ‘long’ of “Association Rando Trail et Nature”

10km
For the 10km race, participants must be at least 12 years old. This race forms part of the League Trail ‘short’ of “Association Rando Trail et Nature”.

Fun Run 5km
For Fun Run 5km, young participants must be aged between 6 and 12 years old. Each child can be accompanied by a responsible party. However, the run will not be timed. Adults who wish to go for a fun walk/run can also participate to the Fun Run 5km.

Refund Policy
In case of cancellation of registration by the participant:
Before the 1st of August 2026: A refund of 80% will be made. A request in writing for the same, duly posted (as attested by the postmark), sent together with a prepaid envelope bearing your name and address should reach the following address: Ferney Trail Ltd, 5th floor, Ebene Skies, Rue de l’Institut, 80817 Ebene in time.
As from the 1st of August 2026: no refund for cancellation will be considered for no reason whatsoever (even injuries attested with a medical certificate or for travelling purposes.)
Any participant who cannot participate in the race will be able to do a Bib swap at the Bib Collection ONLY - NOT BEFORE and NOT AFTER. The organisation team will not be responsible of any damages sustained by the participant or by any damages that the latter could cause to the other participants.

T-Shirt
The kids on the Kids Race will receive a free t-shirt, cap & lunch bag at the event.

All participants are grouped into one of the Men and Women age categories as listed in the table below.
The age as at the 31st of December 2026 determines the participant’s category.
