The Neuter Warriors

The Neuter Warriors was registered in October 2022 to improve the lives of stray and abandoned animals in Mauritius. Driven by compassion, their dedicated volunteers work to control stray populations humanely through sustainable sterilization, community awareness, and care programs. Their mission is to foster a more compassionate society where every animal can live a safer, more dignified life.

About this charity

Humane Population Control: Conducted multiple mass sterilization campaigns and ad-hoc interventions, successfully spaying and neutering hundreds of dogs and cats to prevent overbreeding and unwanted litters.
Medical Care & Relief: Provided critical medical care during field campaigns, treating vulnerable animals for debilitating conditions like mange and Transmissible Venereal Tumours (TVT).
Rescue & Rehabilitation: Successfully managed ongoing rescue, emergency treatment, rehabilitation, and adoption placements for stray animals caught in severe distress.
Community Education: Hosted animal welfare and responsible pet ownership awareness sessions across major institutions, including the University of Mauritius, the University of Technology of Mauritius, Orange Business Services, and the MCCI Business School.
Stray Feeding Programs: Maintained structured, regular feeding routes to support stray populations across various regions, including Chebel, Barkly, Pont Naturel, and Tribeca.
