I'm not a professional athlete. 

I'm just someone who woke up one day and decided that being in good health is not something to take for granted,  it's something to be grateful for, and to use for good.

On July 11th, I'll be taking on the Dodo Trail here in Mauritius, 25 kilometres of rugged, beautiful terrain, not just for the challenge, but for a cause that is close to so many hearts: breast cancer care.

I love pushing my limits. A new trail, a new challenge, that's what keeps me going. But this time, every step I take carries a deeper meaning. Because while I get to lace up my shoes and run, there are women out there fighting a very different kind of race, one that takes far more courage than any trail ever could.

I have the chance to be healthy. And I want to use that chance to help others.
