As a beginner runner, every mile is a lesson in patience. But every time I feel like stopping, I remember the resilience I built during my alopecia journey and the strength of those currently in treatment. That is what keeps me moving.
I am training for my very first full marathon, but this journey is about more than just physical endurance. Having lived through my own 'alopecia days,' I understand the profound challenge of navigating changes in your body and identity that are outside of your control. That experience taught me the true meaning of resilience. Now, I am using that strength to fundraise for breast cancer. I am running to support those who are facing their own battles with health and identity, ensuring they have the resources and research they deserve to come through stronger.
